Nelspruit branch welcomes Mahlatse Mankge
The Nelspruit branch of Urban-Econ has been strengthened with the services of a young dynamic professional, Mahlatse Mankge. She has built up valuable experience in LED as her Thesis was on LED programmes in the Limpopo Province, focusing on the Sekhukhune District. Her interests lie in economic development, environmental sustainability and property development. In 2011, Mahlatse joined Urban-Econ as a Junior Development Economist.
New Western Cape management
Urban-Econ Western Cape is excited to announce that they have three new additions to their management structure: Jodi Allemeier and Nasiphi Mkhulisi have become shareholders and Ilse van Schalkwyk has become a Business Associate of the George Office and a Board Member of Urban-Econ Western Cape.
Urban-Econ would like to introduce one of its newest employees
Joheen Boonzaaier obtained her Town and Regional Planning Degree with Cum Laude in 2002. She has extensive experience in the development control processes of the United Kingdom. Following her return to South Africa, Joheen obtained experience in socio-economic and economic analysis and profiles, local economic development planning, land use impact analysis and feasibility study development. In 2008, she enhanced her skills in the fields of tourism demand and supply analysis, the development of tourism master plans, tourism routes and tourism feasibility studies, environmental management planning and game reserve development and management planning. During this time, she also completed a Project Management course. In 2011, Joheen joined Urban-Econ Pretoria as a Development Economist and she is currently completing her Masters degree in Development Studies at the University of the Free State.
